South-South Cooperation in the Asia Pacific Region
The Asia Pacific Water Forum (APWF) is a network that encourages knowledge sharing and partnerships in a region full of challenges but also with considerable skill, knowledge and experience in the water sector.
This session will cover crucial issues in water security such as climate change, river management and groundwater management and explore the work of three different types of organizations the first two of which are APWF knowledge hubs and the third is one working in the different states and regions of India. Issues such as the challenges and opportunities in capacity building at the national government policy making level, of professionals in the water sector, of civil society organizations and of village level local government members will be explored as will the possibilities of alliances and partnerships.
